The process
CNC Gun Drilling is a machining process that allows drilling with extreme length-diameter ratios by using single-edged drill bits with high-pressure internal cooling.
The tool rotates at high speed while the cutting oil flows through the interior, continuously lubricating, cooling, and evacuating the chips.
At TAES we control every process parameter: cutting speed, feed rate, cooling pressure, etc.
Our CNC machines ensure precise positioning, repeatability, and straightness, while maintaining stringent dimensional tolerances for all parts that require them. A prime example is the machining of resistors, where diameter tolerance is critical.
